Common reasons for card declines
Incorrect card details
Double-check that you entered your:
- Card number
- Expiry date
- CVV (3-digit security code)
- Billing address (if requested)
Bank security blocks or restrictions
Sometimes, your bank may automatically block a transaction if:
- It looks suspicious or international
- You’ve recently changed locations or cards
- Online or gaming-related purchases are restricted
Card not supported
Some cards, especially prepaid or gift ones, may not be accepted. Try another card or payment method if available.
What You Can Do:
- Double-check your info - Make sure all payment details are entered correctly
- Try a different payment method - GameBoost supports multiple options including Google Pay, Apple Pay, crypto, and more. See our payment methods guide for the full list
- Purchase a Paysafecard with another payment option - This lets you complete your order using a Paysafecard instead. You can even purchase one with PayPal
- Contact your bank - They may need to approve or whitelist the transaction manually
- Clear your browser cache - Occasionally, browser issues can interfere with the checkout process
