# Declined card payments

> Why card payments may be declined and what to try before contacting support.

If your card payment was declined on GameBoost, don't worry; it's usually a quick fix. Card declines can happen for several common reasons related to your bank, payment provider, or the information entered during checkout.

#### **Common reasons for card declines**

  <Step title="Insufficient funds">
    Make sure your card has enough available balance to complete the transaction.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Incorrect card details">
    Double-check that you entered your:

    * Card number
    * Expiry date
    * CVV (3-digit security code)
    * Billing address (if requested)
  </Step>

  <Step title="Bank security blocks or restrictions">
    Sometimes, your bank may automatically block a transaction if:

    * It looks suspicious or international
    * You've recently changed locations or cards
    * Online or gaming-related purchases are restricted
  </Step>

  <Step title="Card not supported">
    Some cards, especially prepaid or gift ones, may not be accepted. Try another card or payment method if available.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Multiple failed attempts">
    Repeated attempts in a short time may trigger fraud protection systems. Wait a few minutes before trying again, or contact support.

* **Double-check your info** - Make sure all payment details are entered correctly

* **Purchase a Paysafecard with another payment option** - This lets you complete your order using a Paysafecard instead. You can even purchase one with PayPal
* **Contact your bank** - They may need to approve or whitelist the transaction manually
* **Clear your browser cache** - Occasionally, browser issues can interfere with the checkout process
